At
one time the township of Boreraig was a busy island community
in south Skye. However, the inhabitants were evicted during
the Highland clearances and now,
where the hand of man no longer maintains order, nature is busily
painting.
My
photographs celebrate both nature's work and that of the people
who lived here and built these walls. When
I arrived at Boreraig, the wall builders were long gone, but
their story is still there among the stones. I hope my pictures
tell a little of it.
